LaNisha Thomas, Participating Stakeholder Expert

LaNisha Thomas is a tenured faculty member at Harold Washington College of the City Colleges of Chicago and has more than 28 years of classroom teaching experience at the secondary and postsecondary levels. As a former assistant dean of academic affairs at LIM College in New York, Thomas managed campus-wide student-support services including placement testing, disability services, international student services, judicial affairs, summer enrichment programs, and academic advising and registration. In addition, she has many years of experience working on funded grants from Exxon, IBM, Coca-Cola, the National Science Foundation, and OCCRL's Pathways to Results program. Her expertise includes data analysis, business-plan development, curriculum design, learning-outcomes assessment, and grant writing.
